The SD200-002 consists of a high sensitivity passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor and microprocessor with intelligent logic control software in an aesthetically pleasing housing. It should be mounted on the wall or ceiling (corner mount recommended) to detect human presence by sensing the movement of body heat energy. In addition to this, it also provides various operation settings and component connections of the system.
To avoid the room becoming too hot or too cold during an unoccupied period (which would require excessive time and energy to cool down or warm up), the SD200-002 features high and low temperature limiting. The HVAC unit is activated if the room exceeds the set range.
